Funny Art: Election Pundit

These maps show the amount of attention given ...

From Denny: The presidential election has been thrust upon us whether we want it or not. The media is busy talking up even the worst of candidates they know will not survive the primaries. Why? The networks and media moguls want those advertising dollars from said desperate candidates.

Then there are the either boring or disingenuous political talk shows slanted to produce yet more advertising dollars. It's all a game - while the average American, voter or not, gets the shaft.

This drawing of mine is a classic as it was drawn back in 1998 when I tried to warn people not to vote for George Bush 43. Guess you know how well that worked out. :)

Funny Art: A True Gentle Man

silly monkey photo has nothing to do with this post. :)

From Denny: An artist with a sense of humor is more fun than a barrel of monkeys let loose in your living room and swinging from the chandeliers while swilling Guinness beer. Party on!

I happened upon this artist while searching for coffee photos for my online newspaper. You just never know what fun discoveries are waiting around the corner! This is from nyoin @ flickr, an illustrator and graphic designer from South Korea.

Funny Coffee Art and Tutorials: Barista With Cat Humor

From Denny: Check out coffee tutorials in the form of how to do latte with beautiful designs like the Rosetta. From World of Latte in The Netherlands come some amusingly good looking cups of coffee! While this site is not in English you can check out World Coffee Events for it is an English language site.

This cat design sure gave me a smile today. Imagine being greeted with that at a coffeehouse when you are unwinding from a tough day at work!

This latte tutorial narration is not in English. It's still easy to follow along to learn the technique.

Visual Insights: Dennys Photo Gallery: Artists At Work: "From Denny: Check out what I found today while searching for interesting artists to feature over at my arts blog, Dennys Art Sanctuary. While looking through the many photos I was struck by how many depicted the artists at work. Sure enough that developed today's theme! Enjoy the 18 photos of artists painting graffiti, portraits, sidewalks, recycling egg cartons as fine art, doodling on department store windows, making music, you name it. All great fun and immense creativity."

Funny Snail and Wine Photo: Shell-E-Brations

MIAMI BEACH, FL - DECEMBER 09: Agostino Pezzat...

Another snail hanging out in Miami - Image by Getty Images via @daylife

From Denny: Is this a Baptist snail trying to escape the deadly sin of getting dunked in the wine? Or is it a drinking snail, so inebriated he is climbing out to get sober? Party on and "shell-e-brate"! Great photo with a funny twisty of humor of the possible double meaning that a viewer can take away for themselves.

Funny Art Cartoon - What Love Is All About

From Denny: As an art lover I also love an artist with a sense of humor. Some of the most overlooked artists are cartoonists. Often they are taken for granted as we read in print or online our favorite daily newspaper. They depict our streaming politics, often lampooning policies or hypocritical politicians trying to sell a loser idea.

Today's art cartoon from Ballard Street is all about the art of assuaging a loved one's ego. Get a grin at this one:

Funny Art: Reading The Directions

From Denny: This painting is as delightful is as it's funny. How many times have men decided they know where they are going when driving only to get lost? Do you think they would ever stop and ask directions? Of course not. Nor do they seem to read a map very well. Leave it to the woman to get them to their destination - and in the desert and on a camel no less. A clever and talented artist with a sense of humor.

Funny Art: Dressing Up The Donkeys

From Denny: This photographer has a great sense of humor and art. He can capture intense beauty in our environment as easily as he can make us laugh. Check out the photo link to go to his flickr page where he explains his process of mixing his drawing with his photography.

Amusing Art Photo of The Day: 9 March 2011

Check out this modern "green" rickshaw in Hamburg, Germany Image via Wikipedia

From Denny: Where Old School gives a push into the modern present. Clever simplicity! The Wassily Chair was originally designed by Marcel Breuer.

Taken in Washington, D.C.

"Art at the Hirshhorn

See, it's like a bicycle rickshaw, but the seat is a Wassily Chair! Hah, how delightfully postmodern.

Okay, but I did think it was funny."

Amusing Art Photo of The Day: 8 March 2011

From Denny: Oh, the clever ones in our midst... :) Artists with words, wit and humor all summed up in an image.
